Encouraging Dreams

I feel like writing something
which just might blow your mind.
Something which stands out
ideas which are hard to find.

I feel like making some words
reach out and grab you close
wash over your soul letting you know
its me you'll need the most.

Don't trouble yourself too much
trying to figure from where I come
Listen up real good and hear
my affect is like a potent rum.

My goal is always for you
to reach the very highest plane.
To learn about yourself
and not allow dreams to get slain.

I have seen too many wilt
as if they are dying on a vine.
Never getting to work their dreams
never having their life brightly shine.

Why should you let others
kill the spirit you have within
never fighting for your chance
to shine with a special grin.

I am trying to tell you
don't give away your hopes
leaving emptiness and pain
lots of frowns and mopes.

I am telling you to live
to take steps needed to thrive
don't allow life to pass you up
and you barely seem alive.

Let these words wash over you
to enlighten and reach your passion
and you'll learn why I keep pushing
in my own wayward fashion.

Step on up to the plate
you can't win if you never try.
Don't let your dreams slip away
nor dare you allow hopes to die.

Like I said I felt like writing
something to blow your mind.
Hopefully to encourage and steer
ideas which are hard to find.
